  • I Build NH - Through the SPI and grant funding, I Build New Hampshire was developed to provide educational resources for job seekers and workforce development resources to construction industry employers.  Funding for I Build NH ended on 2/4/2022, but efforts are underway to identify a path to keep I Build NH operational.  For details and information, contact Marilee Enus, Construction Sector co-champion for the Highway Construction industry.
  • Building NH's Construction Workforce:  LinkedIn group to connect industry with educators, community agencies and government programs with a purpose of building New Hampshire's construction workforce.        
  • FHWA's EDC-6 Initiative "Strategic Workforce Development" includes a #RoadsToYourFuture "Identify, Train, Place Playbook" that summarizes industry and partner Pilot Programs for workforce apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships, practices and tips for successful Highway Construction Workforce Partnerships, as well as a series of videos, marketing materials (many that can be customized) and other workforce

  • Minnesota LTAP Workforce Development Toolkit - a robust suite of tools designed by Minnesota LTAP and the Minnesota Local Road Research Board to help local agencies fill open positions and expand the transportation workforce. The tools take a two-pronged approach: Some help local agencies recruit, train, and retain workers in the short term, while others help promote career opportunities to students and feed the longer-term worker pipeline.
  • FutureRoadBuilders (RBD) Gaming App: To provide for an accessible and engaging approach to understanding highway construction careers, the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania (CAWP), an Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. (AGC) affiliate, created the Future Road Builders (FRB) gaming app. The app is free and consists of videos, images, Highway construction pay scale information and mini-assessment challenges that provide participants with information about the skills needed for a career in highway construction. Participants explore various trades within the game and strive to earn and receive a “Get to Work” badge that can be used when applying for apprenticeship programs in highway construction.
