Join NHPWA on October 21st for a visit to downtown Peterborough, NH to see the historic Main Street Bridge project.
Check-in and light refreshments at the library at 9:00 am and the project presentation will start at 9:30 am.
Following the site tour, the group will return to the library for a catered lunch provided by NHPWA, socializing, and the NHPWA Board of Directors' monthly meeting.
The Main Street Bridge project over the Contoocook River includes a bridge replacement, installation of a kingpile retaining wall, dam modifications, roadway reconstruction, & canal lining. Project team will discuss the construction challenges (like building a river crossing during the wettest July on record in NH!).
Important note about parking:
To ensure the library parking lot remains available for library patrons, please do not park at the library. Parking is available downtown including on-street parking along Main Street and Grove Street, the Grove Street municipal parking lot, as well as other public parking options close to the project site and library. A parking map will be provided to all registered attendees as well as final event details.
This event is open to NHPWA members only, and there is no cost to attend.
