Winter Liquids Applicator Field Day

A day focused on the art & science of liquids for environmentally-sensitive, sound winter operations!

A NHDES Green Snowpro-refresher eligible event.

UNH Technology Transfer Center and Granite State Deicing Supply are excited to host Winter Liquids Applicator Field Day, a special event just for winter snow and ice-fighting professionals who utilize liquids for pre-treat and anti-icing. This event will be held at the NHTI-Concord’s Community College campus on August 12th. Expect demonstrations and lots of opportunities for hands-on liquid application practice using Granite State Deicing Supply's equipment, and much more!

This event has been approved by NHDES as a qualified Green SnowPro Refresher class (attendees must follow all check-in, participation, and completion requirements to receive proof of refresher training).

**PLEASE NOTE: To maximize each participant's time " in the seat" during the field practicum, we'll divide attendees into two groups, each with a unique event start and end time. You will receive an invoice after registering that will inform you if you have been placed in Group 1 or Group 2.  The cost per person is $25 and includes lunch. Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice.

*All participants must bring high-visibility PPE (vest, tee shirt, etc), which must be worn on the course.

Tentative Agenda for MONDAY AUGUST 12, 2024 at NHTI - Concord's Community College (31 College Dr. Concord, NH)

    • 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM: Group 1 Registration and Coffee – Student Center Rotunda 
    • 9:00 AM SHARP: Group 1 - Advanced Liquids Program, Safety Briefing, & Course Orientation – Sweeney Auditorium  
    • 10:00 AM to finish: Group 1 – Hands-on Course - Parking Lot B
    • 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM: Group 2 Registration and Coffee – Student Center Rotunda 
    • 10:30 AM SHARP: Group 2 Advanced Liquids Program, Safety Briefing, & Course Orientation – Sweeney Auditorium  
    • 11:30 AM to finish: Group 2 Hands-on Course - Parking Lot B
    • 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Boxed Lunches available for all attendees at Student Center Rotunda 

    CARPOOLING IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED DUE TO LIMITED PARKING.

    We are excited to offer this important learning and hands-on practice opportunity for teams that use premium liquids in their storm strategy. To maximize the available “hands on application” time of each participant, we will prioritize registrations from winter operators that actively utilize premium liquids and are responsible for applying them on their route.
