Center for Local Aid Support

CLAS offers online, self-paced learning modules, as well as sponsors online training for local agencies through ITE, NHI, and AASHTO TC3.  See below for more details, visit the CLAS website or check out their catalogPlease be sure to let UNH T2 know if you #TrainwithCLAS so we can credit you any appropriate Roads Scholar electives!!

AASHTO TC3

Local and tribal road agencies have free access to utilize the AASHTO Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council (TC3) library of training!  This means local agencies can access 120 online training modules in construction, maintenance and materials – online, anytime.

Additionally, the TC3 app provides a seamless way to locate online and mobile training resources that can be used in the field.

Signing up is quick and easy!

  • You will need an AASHTO account to access the online training courses.
  • Email T2.Center@unh.edu to request the registration codes necessary to access this offer.
  • After you register using the codes UNH T2 provide, you can browse and gain access to the TC3 course offerings.

AASHTO’s Strategic Highway Research Program 2 (SHRP 2)

Offers Just-in-Time Training modules that address pavement preservation topics. These free modules can be accessed via desktop or laptop computers, tablets and smart phones. You can just take one lesson or a series!

APWA Click, Listen, and Learn (CLL)

CLLs are APWA’s webinar series of interactive internet educational programs. Each program is led by top experts in the field who convey new ideas, new methods, and new technologies in a fast-paced one-hour time frame.

National Highway Institute (NHI)

The Center for Local Aid Support is sponsoring online training courses for the local agencies.  Over 180 web-based courses are available.  More information can be found on the FHWA online training flyer.

New England Public Works Institute

New England Public Works Institute offers an online non-credit course in leadership and management practices that covers topics such as strategic planning, operations and organizations, long-term strategy projects and management and leadership proficiencies.

Institute of Transportation Engineers

The Center for Local Aid Support is sponsoring online training courses for the local agencies, with 15 online modules.

State of NH Bureau of Education and Training 

Training and Development Services offer various topics from computer skills, to leadership/management, and lean programs.
